Buzzer does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app talks only to a server that you run yourself.
What the app sends, and where
To do its job, Buzzer transmits only two things: your device's Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token, and
the approve or deny decisions you make. Both are sent only to the self-hosted buzzerd helper that
you run on your own Mac, reached over your own private Tailscale network.
This information is never sent to the developer, and never to any third party. The developer operates no servers and receives no data from the app.
Notifications
Push notifications are used solely to deliver approval requests to your devices. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
Accounts and tracking
- No sign-in and no user accounts.
- No advertising identifiers and no cross-app tracking.
- No usage analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
Children
Buzzer is a developer tool that is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.
